Faiza Puran is a beautiful mountainous village located in tehsil Puran, district Shangla, Khyber Pakhtun Khwa province of Pakistan. Famous in the region for its well-educated and talented population, Faiza comprises almost 90 houses. Its population is more than 800. The village is located on a mountain of very small slope. This looks almost an inclined plain when observed from far places. Among the neighboring villages of Faiza, Makra lies to its east, Showar lies in the north, Keva and Alagram are in west while Dakkun and Ganouri are located in the south.
The people of Faiza belong to different clans of Yousafzai Pathans. Some other are Gujaras and Syyids. They all are Sunni Muslims and speak Pashto as their mother tongue.
Jamie Masjid Faiza is the central mosque of Faiza Puran which has the distinction in Puran that the first Jumma prayer in Puran was performed here, when the ruler of the state Wali-e-Swat granted it.
There is a government primary as well as a secondary school in Faiza. The tendency of getting higher education is increasing among the new generation. The students of Faiza are very talented and hardworking. They often get the leading positions in the educational institutes of the region.
Faiza is a beautiful place. It has a clean environment, pleasant climate.
